Service Description
Focus & Regulation Camp is a small-group, therapeutic summer program designed to help children strengthen attention, flexibility, and emotional regulation skills needed for everyday success. Led by a pediatric occupational therapist and a special education teacher, this camp provides structured, play-based experiences in a supportive environment where children can practice managing challenges while building confidence and independence. Many children want to do well but may struggle with staying focused, starting or finishing tasks, handling frustration, or adjusting when plans change. This camp supports those skills through movement activities, problem-solving games, sensory-motor play, and guided group challenges that encourage persistence and flexible thinking. 🌿 What Children Will Practice Children will have opportunities to build skills such as: - Sustaining attention during activities - Starting and completing tasks - Flexible thinking when plans change - Problem solving and planning skills - Managing frustration during challenging tasks - Building confidence through successful participation Skills are developed naturally through play, movement, and hands-on experiences. This camp may be a good fit for children who: - Have difficulty staying focused or following multi-step directions - Become easily frustrated when tasks feel challenging - Struggle with transitions or unexpected changes - Need support with organization or task completion - Benefit from structured opportunities to build independence and regulation skills
Cancellation Policy
Camp Cancellation & Refund Policy Due to limited group sizes and advance staffing commitments, the following cancellation policy applies to all summer camp registrations: - Cancellations made 21 or more days prior to the camp start date are eligible for a full refund. - Cancellations made 21-10 days prior to the camp start date are eligible for a 50% refund. - Cancellations made less than 10 days before the camp start date are non-refundable. - Refunds or make-up sessions are not available for missed camp days once a session has begun. If a child is unable to attend due to illness or emergency, families may contact us to discuss possible credit toward a future program if space allows. We encourage families to review summer schedules carefully before registering, as camp dates cannot be transferred or rescheduled once reserved. We understand that unexpected situations arise and appreciate your understanding as this policy allows us to maintain consistent staffing and support for all participating children.
